Rumour of getting WhatsApp dark mode is finally a reality now. But WhatsApp has taken a lot of time to implement this feature. When there were no rumors of Splash Screen, Self-Destruct messages, there was a rumor of getting WhatsApp dark mode. Sadly, users started getting those features in WhatsApp which were not even necessary.
Before October 2019 rumor of WhatsApp black theme has gone viral and users started waiting for it. It took more than 3 months to get Dark Mode on WhatsApp from rumor to the ground. Finally, WhatsApp has started rolling out Dark Mode feature to Beta testers. Dark Mode first appeared in version 2.20.13 as per few news portals. Still, dark mode is available to beta testers only. As Dark Mode is made available to the beta testers, it means that this feature will be made available to normal users very soon.

How to enable WhatsApp dark mode
Steps to enable Dark Mode on WhatsApp.
- Open WhatsApp.
- Click on the triple dot, positioned at the top right corner.
- Click on Settings.
- Click on Chat.
- Under the Display category, you will find the Theme option, tap it.
- Select Dark. Now, your WhatsApp interface has Dark UI.
In Theme, we get three options, Set by Battery Saver, Light, Dark.
In Set by Battery Saver option, the theme would be decided by your battery percentage. The light option will keep the interface as it is before enabling dark mode.
